Purusa
Definition: Pure, unchanging consciousness; the witness distinct from nature (prakrti).
Insights: Purusha is the eternal, unchanging witness-consciousness, distinct from the ever-changing world of prakrti (nature). Realizing Purusha is the key to liberation, as it reveals the true Self beyond all experience.

svasvāmiśaktyoḥ svarūpopalabdhihetuḥ saṁyogaḥ
The conjunction (of the Seer and the Seen) is the cause for the apprehension of the true nature of their respective powers, the power of the owner (Puruṣa) and the power of the owned (Prakṛti).
